The gates close behind you
"When you book the estate at this level, the gates close behind you and we do not let anyone else in. No other guests. No deliveries during your stay (we pre-stock). No staff turnover. The cleaning is overnight. The phone is on Do Not Disturb unless you say otherwise. If you don't want to see the team, you won't."
"The estate is set on a private road that ends at our gate. The closest property is a half-kilometer down the valley. You can hear cicadas, occasional church bells from Pienza, and your own conversation. That's it."

Private chef from outside
We've flown in chefs from Tokyo and Lyon to cook one dinner. The kitchen is theirs.
Concert in the chapel
Quartet, soloist, choir. We've hosted a Polish soprano for an hour-long evening recital for an audience of five.
Auction-room walk-throughs
We work with three Florentine restorers who'll bring pieces to the estate for private viewings.
Vintage car drive
A 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulia or a 1972 Ferrari Dino is yours for the day.
Concierge medical
English-speaking GP and concierge medicine in Pienza, on call.
Helicopter day trips
Lake Como (45 min), Portofino (60 min), Capri (90 min). Out for lunch, back for dinner.

Before you book
What's the minimum stay for a private estate hire?
Two nights, with a per-night minimum spend that varies by season. Three nights is the more common starting point.
Is there a published rate?
No. We quote per stay based on dates, headcount, and any bespoke arrangements. Travel advisors at our partner agencies receive a rate sheet.
Privacy and discretion — how serious?
Very. NDAs are standard for staff. We do not photograph or film without consent. We do not confirm bookings to third parties under any circumstance.
What about families with very young children?
Welcome. We hire a vetted nanny from Pienza who has worked with us for six years.
Can we change our minds about meals, schedules, departures?
Yes, at any time. Until the kitchen has started the dish, the menu is amendable.
Pets, including unusual ones?
We have hosted dogs, cats, a small parrot, and once a python.
Connectivity for working remotely?
Symmetric 1 Gbps fiber, mesh wifi, hardline ethernet in every suite, two private offices in the south wing.
